DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary focus of this position is maintaining the Community Center pool and water park to the highest standards, meeting or exceeding the needs and expectations of the staff, residents, and guests of the Anthem community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Maintain chemical balances, water level circulation and accurate record keeping including chemical application, testing results, and use / inventory of pool supplies.
· All work must be performed in a safe manner following all established safety procedures, adherence to OSHA standards, ACC policies, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
· Additional duties will include janitorial duties, maintenance, keeping the pump house clean and organized, inspecting chemical feeders, filters, pumps, motors, valves, and heaters.
· Performing regular preventative and corrective equipment repairs.
· Must be responsible for managing personal timecards, clocking in and out for breaks/lunch.
· Adheres to checklist of daily responsibilities.
· Greet, acknowledge, and interact with staff and residents in a friendly and professional manner.
· Providing support to ACC Staff (as directed) in the set up and breakdown of special events or activities.
· Wash down pickleball court.
· Other maintenance and repair related duties as assigned by the Aquatics Lead.Requirements:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
· Education: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent AND possess a current CPO (Certified Pool Operator).
· Experience: A minimum of two years pool maintenance experience; valid driver license and clean driving record required.
· Attention to detail and a desire to succeed in a team environment are essential in this fast-paced position.
· Selected applicant must be available to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays; early/late shifts may be required, days of the week (Monday – Sunday) may vary; shifts will be scheduled based on the needs of the Community Center; efforts will be made to assign a consistent schedule week to week, subject to workload and activity levels.
· CPR & First Aid certifications are helpful, but not required.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Must be physically and intellectually capable of operating a personal computer, printer, facsimile machine, phone, and various other routine business equipment items.
· Ability to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing.
· Must be able to speak, read and write English so that various types of communication may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities both in person and over the phone.
· Perform physical activities (possibly for extended periods of time) that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, with a full range of motions including walking, sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, lifting, and carrying.
· Position requires the ability to exert minimal force of up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 60 pounds of force to move objects.
· Ability to transport oneself around office, facilities, grounds, and the community.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Must be able to work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes, and delays.
· Must remain alert to working conditions and aware of safety, health, and environmental concerns.
· Must be able to work effectively with a positive attitude and demeanor in an environment which may be stressful due to adversarial situations resulting from the proper performance of duties.
· Position will alternate between working indoors in a controlled climate to an outdoors setting with variable climate.
· Personal protective equipment (PPEs) to include proper footwear, headgear, and maintenance attire should be worn for protection as appropriate.
· This is a safety sensitive position.
