Job Description
Candidates for this position must have significant management experience in the paint industry and a thorough understanding of retail paint store operations and the customers these stores serve.
The division manager must have a vision as to how each location of a multi-store organization meets local market needs and a strategy for maximizing the sales potential of each store.
Division Manager Responsibilities
• Commit to 50 hours per week, including weekends and in-store coverage.
• Manage workplace personnel to ensure the highest level of customer service.
• Work with the store managers to ensure staffing and scheduling meets the appropriate levels.
• Analyze operational and financial reports and execute plans to meet and exceed company budgets.
• Lead various groups and committees such as the Pro Show and inventory.
• Manage workplace conflicts and personnel issues calmly and professionally in accordance with company policies.
• Collaborate on marketing and advertising strategies and make recommendations for best results.
• Coordinate all purchasing, inventory control, and distribution to maximize profit margins.
• Meet regularly with Accounts Receivable and advise finance with customers account strategies.
• Collaborate with Sales Manager on business and sales strategies relating to store sales and outside sales staff.
• Oversee store operations such as product merchandising, equipment maintenance, store cleanliness, security, etc. with store managers.
• Implement regular product, sales, and operational training to provide staff with development and growth opportunities.
• Willingness to build culture through collaboration and implement a ‘one company, one team’ mentality across all divisions.
• Ability to present, speak, and represent the company at all events, meetings, and functions.
• Professionally represent the business as a member of the companies management team.
• All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Must possess strong knowledge of paint, paint sundries, window treatments, and related products.
• Strong work ethic – willing to go above & beyond to get the job done.

• Ability to identify and solve problems effectively.
• Superior interpersonal, training, and communication skills
• An aptitude for detailed financial analysis of retail store operations and trends; including P&L literacy.
• Strong leadership and professional mentorship skills for store managers and their staff.
• Strong Décor computer skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record from the RMV.
