About the role:
The Batch Plant Mechanic is responsible for the oversight of work performed on all Batch Plant equipment, repairs, installs and replacement of mechanical equipment to ensure proper operation and efficiency. Provide compliant concrete to support the Project needs. The person in this role develops work permits, lockout plans, service requests and necessary material orders. The Batch Plant Mechanic informs management of issues and possible solutions for resolution.
Our batch plants are mobile and this job would require 100% travel.
Responsibilities:
Perform walk-downs on equipment utilizing the daily walk-down checklists
Participate in pre-plan meetings
Develop work permits, lockout plans, work orders, service requests and necessary material orders
Read electrical schematics and blueprints to perform repairs, installs and replacements on mechanical equipment
Produce compliant concrete in accordance with ASTM and NRMCA requirements to support the project schedule.
Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs to mechanical/electrical equipment
Implement Batch Plant Operating Procedures
Direct and/or train less experienced employees
Inform management of issues and possible solutions
Coordinates and provides records required to produce concrete
Preferred Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED plus multiple years' experience in Batch Plant Operations.
Documented skills in at least two of the following areas: E&I, Mechanical Maintenance, Rigging, and PLC/Controls
Experience repairing, installing, dismantling and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical equipment/instrument and controls
Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
Possess basic background knowledge in electrical, mechanical, instrument and controls
