Job Description
The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is seeking a full-time Digital Fabrication and Technology Lead, responsible for the day-to-day oversight of digital fabrication, electronics, and technology-based exhibit production within OMSI's Exhibits department. This is a hands-on position, working closely and collaboratively with the Exhibits Production Manager and Exhibit Fabrication and Technology team to develop, prototype, fabricate, and maintain digital and electronic elements of interactive exhibits. The Lead supports project planning, contributes to estimating and procurement, and helps develop processes and team skills in emerging technology applications.
Qualified candidates will have, but not limited to:
Proficiency in designing, building, and troubleshooting interactive electronic systems
Experience in Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and related microcontroller platforms
Strong understanding of digital fabrication workflows (e.g., laser cutting, 3D printing, CNC routing)
3 years experience in digital fabrication, electronics development, or related fields
Experience guiding the work of/or mentoring technical team members
The Digital Fabrication and Technology Lead has an hourly pay of $28.92, and is eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes:
