Position Summary

We are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist who will play a key role in managing inventory levels at our Marshall and Erwin locations and supporting all inventory-related NetSuite initiatives. This position requires close attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory and support overall company profitability.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, punctual, and enjoys working in a collaborative, values-driven environment.

General Duties/Responsibilities

Develop and implement procedures to ensure adequate inventory levels, including cycle counts.

Review and reconcile all Production Orders in coordination with the Inventory Control Clerk.

Collaborate with Warehouse, Packaging, and other departments.

Support the Warehouse Management System rollout, serving as liaison between Inventory Control, Warehousing, and the NetSuite team.

Ensure timely completion of cycle and quarterly inventory counts.

Audit facility inventory regularly and generate reports for management.

Train staff on cycle counting and inventory control procedures.

Stay current with NetSuite and other technology updates.

Follow and recommend improvements to inventory-related policies and procedures.

Manage and update inventory records in NetSuite, including movements and deletions.

Identify and reconcile inventory discrepancies.

Assist with accounts payable/receivable and related accounting tasks.

Provide basic IT troubleshooting support.

Perform other related duties as needed.

Food Safety and Quality Responsibilities

Follow GMP policy in production areas and encourage others to do the same.

Understand and support SQF policies for pest control, allergen management, visitor protocols, and sanitation.

Uphold our company's commitment to food safety and quality.

Support COA verification to ensure accurate documentation of incoming ingredients.

Report food safety or quality concerns to the Quality Assurance Manager for CAPA investigation and resolution.

Required Skills/Abilities

Quick adaptability and problem-solving skills

Ability to work well under pressure and multitask

Cross-functional collaboration

Strong communication skills (verbal, written, listening)

Proficiency in Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office

Team-oriented and goal-driven

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required

2 years of inventory experience required

Experience with ERP/WMS systems preferred

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods sitting at a computer

Ability to lift up to 15 pounds

Travel requirement of up to 20%
