Collections Specialist

Job Description

Salary:

eCommission is seeking a full-time Collections Specialist to join our innovative, fast-growing, Fin-tech company. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts receivable. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, be comfortable interacting with customers by phone, live chat and email, and the ability to manage complex and sensitive financial situations effectively.

Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of receivables.

Contact customers frequently, via telephone, live chat or through other written communication.

Utilize company tools and strategies to reduce the number of past due accounts.

The ability to easily navigate between multiple browsers, internet, and proprietary systems.

Maintain a high level of customer service while communicating well with customers.

Handle accounts and multiple scenarios in a timely manner with professionalism.

Math/Accounting/Financial Analysis skills.

Requirements:

2+ years of collections and/or receivable experience.

2+ years of customer service experience.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Able to maintain high call volumes.

Proficiency with collections software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).

Detail oriented and strong analytical skills.

The ability to multi-task and re-prioritize daily tasks.

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Must be in the Austin, Texas Metro area with the ability to commute to the office as required.

Preferred:

Knowledge of financial services or real estate is helpful but not required.

Core Working Hours:

9 am 6 pm (CST)

Monday Friday

No weekends

Additional Information:

This position is Hybrid, but primarily remote. In-office hours are required twice each month. Initial training is on-site for approximately 2 weeks. Must have sufficient internet connection to sustain a full workday of internet use, i.e., data input, dialing the phone, video conferencing. The selected candidate must also have a home office location free from distractions that will provide the ability to ensure confidentiality of work product.
