Exhibit Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is seeking a full-time Exhibit Maintenance Technician to help keep OMSI exhibits operating safely and perform regular repairs to maintain and improve the guest experience. Additionally, they provide support to the Exhibit Experiences team during exhibit changeovers and material transfers.

Qualified candidates will have, but not limited to:

Minimum of 6 months experience working in any of the following environments: warehouse, carpentry, production, auto-shop, or similar

Familiarity with and ability to fabricate with wood, metal, plastics, laminates, and vinyls

Ability to read, understand, and use levels, tape measures, squares, and other measuring devices

Ability to recognize and safely interact with AC and DC electrical systems

The Exhibit Maintenance Technician has an hourly pay of $23.93, and is eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes:

2 weeks of vacation per year with no waiting period. Hours carry over year to year up to 200 hours

2 weeks of sick time per year with no waiting period. Hours carry over year to year up to 520 hours
