Background
Works under general direction of the Project Engineer Manager in a c-GMP regulated manufacturing environment operating under Q7A standards.
Broad responsibility to provide technical oversight and leadership for all phases of project planning, development, and execution.
Project focus on steam, condensate, compressed air, chilled water, RO water, and City water systems
Tasks
Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct a variety of complex engineering projects (including project scope, preliminary budget, schedule, task lists, measures and goals).
Oversee and coordinate detailed design, layout and construction drawings, construction and installation; assist operations as necessary during project start-up.
Prepare cost estimates and project schedules to deliver completed projects on time and within budget.
Work closely with in-house engineering, maintenance, operations, and quality departments to ensure optimal design and minimal construction interference with daily operations.
May lead a project team in completion of a particular project (set timelines, assign work, communicate with team members, solve problems and move projects towards an on-time high quality solution).
Develop/ modify technical guidelines, standards, and specifications in the area of specialty.
Design of industrial equipment support structures (structural steel) to be reviewed and approved by Structural PE.
Design of industrial piping – sizing, material specification, and weld quality inspections.
Familiar with pipe racking hardware to support new pipe installations.
Represent the Company in communication with other organizations to resolve questions, plan and coordinate work.
Perform all operations according to prescribed safety principles.
Keep abreast of new methods and developments affecting operations to recommend changes in emphasis in projects, or new projects warranted by such developments.
Specifications
BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
Five (5) or more years of project engineering experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated ability to deliver project-based results, two (2) years of which may be substituted by an advanced degree
Knowledge of:
Theories, principles, methods, and procedures of engineering (Advanced Level)
Mathematics and statistics (Advanced Level)
AutoCAD Software
Process and Instrumentation Diagrams – nomenclature and interpretation
Revit 3D Software (desired)
MS Office software package
Skill in:
Working effectively and efficiently on multiple projects at once
Effective, disciplined, and demonstrated documentation with attention to detail
Working effectively independently and in a team environment, including in-depth collaboration between development and process divisions

Ability to:
