Job Overview:
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) must exhibit strong ability to coordinate and implement behavioral health services in a Residential facility. The BHT MUST be knowledgeable of adolescent mental health/substance abuse issues and complexities. Has the ability to problem solve and effectively communicate with compassion to team members and residents. This is a small residential facility that service adolescents with trauma, substance abuse and co-occurring conditions. GREAT WORK ENVIRONMENT. Only serious candidates who love working with Adults.
Education/Experience:
Must meet the following combinations of Education and Experience
-1-2 years experience as BHT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and oversee the Approved daily living routine (i.e.: group sessions, activities, events, chores, appointments, etc.) for Elevate clients, seeking prior approval before making any changes.
- Attend to the physical, emotional, and medical needs of clients.
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained.
- Complete random room checks
- Conduct random or when usage expected UA’s and drug screening
- Administer medication to clients per Policies & Procedures.
- Additional daily duties will include, but are not limited to transporting clients, preparing meals in accordance with posted menu, maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep of the group home.
- Offers consistent and predictable approach to clients’ behavior through emotional warmth, affection, and support.
- Assist resident in developing coping skills for all feelings.
- Facilitate at least 1-2 psycho-education groups a day.
- Monitor residents treatment groups and weekly social activities.
- Follow up with Lead BHT and Behavioral Health Professional regarding client needs.
-Participate in inspection process and follow up on assigned needs.
- Follow-up on assigned facilities Incident Reports.
- Responsible for regular correspondence with client team members, including, but not limited to case managers, Behavioral Health Professional, Probation Offices, and Therapist.
Skilled Requirements:
1. Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.
2. Maintain confidentiality of information.
3. A valid Arizona Driver’s License
4. Current and valid level 1 DPS Fingerprint Clearance card.
5: Current and valid Cpr/First Aid Card
6: Negative TB Test

Monday-Friday 2:00 PM- 10:00PM
Monday-Friday 6:00AM-2:00PM
Friday-Sunday 6:00PM-6:00AM
Friday-Sunday 6:00AM-6:00PM
