The Morton Grove Gas Seal Engineering Team is looking for a technical expert-level Mechanical Engineer to work on challenging customer applications. The day-to-day job is an exciting mix of customer calls, technical evaluations, and troubleshooting as a subject matter expert. We are seeking an experienced team member to support design and development of innovative consumer and commercial products. Answer the call to a creative problem-solving environment that delivers high-quality manufacturing designs. Challenge yourself to become a key player in product development from concept to production while collaborating across teams to ensure engineering excellence.

Job Description

· Collaborate with internal and external clients to identify their application engineering requirements.

· Investigate and analyze engineering issues, devising effective solutions to complex problems in line with company strategic objectives.

· Take ownership of projects ensuring timely delivery, adherence to quality benchmarks, and cost-effectiveness.

· Work independently with little supervision to complete projects and tasks.

· Work on solutions focused on functionality, robustness, standardization, and cost-effectiveness, reviewing designs created in 2D/3D CAD, in-house proprietary software, ANSYS, and other cutting-edge tools.

· Support OEM standardization processes, driving consistency and excellence across projects.

· Foster effective communication with fellow engineers, cross-functional departments, and internal/external stakeholders.

· Be ready for occasional travel, contributing to the success of projects beyond the Morton Grove officeQualifications

· Hold a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering

· 5+ years experience within a related industry / company, preferably rotating equipment and/or oil and gas

· Broad knowledge of engineering sciences, materials, and modern manufacturing processes

· Ability to review 2D & 3D CAD drawings

· Advanced use of CFD/FEA packages and FEA (ANSYS) evaluation of stress and deformation, thermodynamic and fluid dynamics

· Project management skills

· Effective written and oral communication skills
