Electrical Assembly Supervisor – Lead Electrical Technician

Essential Responsibilities

Supervise Electrical Assembly Team: Provide leadership, team supervision, and hands-on training to ensure efficient task completion and adherence to standards.

Hands-On Electrical Assembly: Assemble electrical panels, junction boxes, and electrical systems using technical schematics, blueprints, and work orders. Provide support during the build and assembly phases.

Electrical Testing and Troubleshooting: Lead functional testing, identify and diagnose electrical issues, and apply corrective actions to maintain performance and safety standards.

Technical Documentation Review: Interpret and verify schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documentation, offering guidance to team members as needed.

Quality Assurance: Perform thorough quality control inspections and safety checks on completed electrical assemblies. Resolve non-conformities promptly.

Accurate Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of assembly procedures, test results, and all electrical work performed.

Continuous Process Improvement: Partner with engineers and technicians to enhance assembly processes, boost product reliability, and implement lean manufacturing practices.

Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Monitor and maintain hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to ensure operational readiness and safety compliance.

Enforce Safety Standards: Ensure adherence to all OSHA, company safety policies, and electrical safety protocols during all phases of electrical assembly.

Mentorship and Team Development: Train and mentor junior electricians and technicians, promoting a collaborative, high-performance team culture.

Perform additional duties as assigned and within the scope of training and qualifications.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

5+ years of hands-on electrical experience in industrial or automation environments.

Preferred: Associate degree or technical school certificate in Electrical Technology.

Proven leadership experience in a technical or manufacturing setting.

Technical & Supervisory Skills:

Strong capability in electrical systems management, team leadership, and production oversight.

Skilled in task prioritization, meeting quality control and production goals.

Licensing and Requirements:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for insurance coverage).

Ability to travel up to 25%, including overnights for on-site customer support.

Proficient in NEC, NFPA 79, and other relevant electrical codes.

Experienced in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment.

Must provide personal electrical wiring tools and tool bag.

Comfortable working with highly skilled professionals and across departments.
