RF Testing Specialist

Job Description

$7500 bonus after 90 days!

We are seeking a skilled Test Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the alignment, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of high-power solid-state microwave amplifiers with block upconverters and digital control interfaces. This role requires strong hands-on skills and a deep understanding of RF principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform alignment, tuning, and testing of S-Band, C-Band, X-Band, and Ku-Band amplifiers to meet customer specifications.

Troubleshoot and repair high-power solid-state microwave amplifiers, ensuring compliance with performance requirements.

Conduct standard RF test measurements, including gain, power, VSWR, intermodulation distortion, 1dB compression, harmonics, etc.

Utilize RF test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, power meters, and other diagnostic tools.

Apply soldering skills for tuning RF circuits.

Work with technical drawings, schematics, and test procedures to identify and resolve issues.

Maintain accurate documentation of test results, troubleshooting steps, and repairs.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in electronics or equivalent military/work experience.

2-5 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting and testing RF/microwave circuits.

Strong understanding of RF principles and electrical circuit theories.

Experience working with high-power RF amplifiers.

Proficiency with computer applications for testing and reporting.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety guidelines, and test procedures.

Strong mathematical skills, including basic algebra and geometry.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the satellite communications industry.

Knowledge of block upconverters and digital control interfaces.

Familiarity with automated test systems.Company Description
