Work Schedule Example (After Training)Shift: 3rd shift (12:00 AM – 8:00 AM), rotating weekends:
Week 1: M–F (12 AM–8 AM)
Week 2: M–F (12 AM–8 AM)
Week 3: M–S–S (12 AM–8 AM)
Training Shift: 1st Shift (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM for 2–6 weeks)
Work Schedule: Standard, 40 hours/week
Overtime Expected: No
Pay Rate: $21/hour
Budgeted Hours: 1,040
Position Summary
This is a full-performance level technical role responsible for monitoring and maintaining the LAN/WAN networks, including point-to-point, wireless, VPN, and voice/data circuits across a multi-complex statewide infrastructure. The position requires strong troubleshooting, incident response, and customer service skills within a 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC) environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure across multiple network types.
Respond to alarms, alerts, and faults following standard procedures.
Log and manage incidents, requests, and changes using ServiceNow.
Conduct network performance analysis and initiate corrective actions.
Update network documentation and configuration items in a timely and accurate manner.
Perform shift work, including weekends and holidays as required.
Train on 1st shift and transition to regular 3rd shift upon completion.
Skills Required
* 1 years knowledge and/or experience with LAN/WAN maintenance and support. * 1 years call center/service desk experience. * Good customer service skills. * Experience and/or knowledge of voice and data circuits including troubleshooting and research. * Experience and/or knowledge of incident ticketing systems (Service Now, Remedy, etc.).

Additional Information
-This position will convert to the merit system. Currently budgeted 3-6 months but could fluctuate. -In person interviews will be conducted -These positions are very demanding as this is a Network Operation Center. -Will be required to work on Federal and State holidays -Will train on day shift from 8AM to 4PM -Will work alternating weekends -Position is onsite, full time in Montgomery, AL. NO remote work will be considered -Looking to move quickly on this position. -
