CIVIL DESIGNER with Civil 3D

Location: Wallingford, CT.

Job type: Long-Term Contract

Our client is hiring an Assistant Civil Designer (Underground) for a long-term contract opportunity in Wallingford, CT.

Primary Duties:

Really looking for Advanced Feature experience with Civil3D which would be Dynamic Plan and Profile experience and referencing using different file types. Underground experience is a plus, but Advanced Civil3D experience is important.

Work will involve underground utilities design work. Taking cables underground and through water to windfarms.

Experience with underground power cables, gas lines, telecommunication all sufficient for this role.

General Duties:

The Assistant Civil Designer will assist in various phases of planning, proposal preparation, site evaluations, analytical designs, report preparation, specifications, and preparation of construction documentation and environmental plans as part of a project team. This position will work on various projects with a diverse portfolio of project types and clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in designing various civil projects including site design, land development, roads, storm drainage systems, stormwater management facilities, water and sanitary sewer utility design, sediment and erosion control, traffic control, airports, and facility design.

Assist with a full range of drawing production work including problem analysis, design layout, and calculations on non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity.
