JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Construction Coordinator for the high school campus renovation project shall support the Capital Projects Manager and Capital Projects Team in ensuring success of the overall capital construction program. Duties will include:

1. Assist in analyzing and overseeing attainment of the construction program schedule, including management of all hazardous material abatement work as necessary.

2. Project administration with project management software - ProCore, and other technology tools and software made available.

3. Conduct project procurement activities and completion process as required with the Capital Team:

Request for Proposal/Qualifications (RFP/RFQ) development and issuance, evaluation and award.

Legal notice requirements including bid notices.

Contract administration (design, CMc, contractor).

Attend Informational, Pre-bid and Progress meetings.

Act as Liaison with MSDWT stakeholder groups including school building administration during planning and construction phases.

Assist with design coordination efforts during the design phase, as required.

Project management duties on specific projects, as assigned. 4. Collaborate with MSDWT Capital Projects Team to monitor processes, project budgets, and schedules. Coordinate with individual project teams and District stakeholder groups to ensure timely completion of projects within budget:

Review design specifications to ensure adherence with District standards.

Assist with value engineering efforts & constructability reviews

Oversight of project pay applications and allowance authorizations.

Manage of changes in the work scope (change orders)

Communicate with District stakeholder groups and manage expectations

Coordinate hazardous material abatement schedules and processes. 5. Assist in providing construction project dispute resolutions when necessary.

6. Assist with contract close-out and building commissioning efforts.

7. Assist in providing timely reports as needed including monthly Capital Projects Report.

8. Attend and provide leadership in project meetings with district, architects, construction advisors, contractors, etc.

9. Assist District personnel as needed with planning, implementing and managing the entire moving and relocation process, including packing of contents and developing a moving and packing schedule with appropriate vendors and school staff.

10. Manage wayfinding throughout the construction phases as well as providing oversight of the procurement and installation of the final permanent wayfinding package.

11. In coordination with District Operations and Technology, assist in the procurement and installation of District provided items (i.e. technology, furniture, equipment, appliances, etc.).

12. Attend District meetings as needed.

13. Attend and provide reports at School Board meetings as needed.

14. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrated ability to coordinate with team members managing multiple complex multi-million-dollar projects.

The Construction Coordinator should have a proven leadership background in business skills in the construction industry, project team management, and analysis of projects being delivered by CM as Constructor contract.

Proficient in reading and understanding construction documents.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to demonstrate and convey a thorough understanding of the project design and construction process.

Strong organizational skills.

Proficient technology skills including project management tracking software (i.e. ProCore) and other technology tools and software made available such as GoogleSuite.

Ability to work collaboratively, communicate clearly and effectively with team members and external professionals while operating in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION:

4-Year Degree preferred (in Construction/Project Administration or related field) and relevant experience.
