HH Fund is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support the processing of accounts payable transactions and assist with collections for a portfolio of housing apartment buildings across the United States. This role requires high accuracy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Accounts Payable Specialist will report to the AP Manager and be based in our Silver Spring, MD office.

Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day processing of accounts payable invoices to ensure accuracy and timely vendor payments.

Enter invoices for assigned entities and maintain organized records.

Obtain proper approvals for invoice payments in accordance with company policies.

Ensure all transactions comply with financial procedures and internal controls.

Accurately code and process invoices, including data imports from various platforms.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to invoice processing.

Support collections by sending out collection letters and following up as needed.

Assist with additional AP-related tasks and projects as assigned.

Required Skills:

Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in Accounts Payable.

Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience with accounting software.

Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential financial information.

Effective communication skills for vendor relations and internal collaboration.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Real Estate Property Accounting.

Familiarity with RealPage Property Management Software.

Working knowledge of QuickBooks.

Experience using AvidXchange or similar AP automation tools.
