Position Summary:
BVMI is seeking a mission-driven and detail-oriented Grant Writer to help secure funding through compelling proposals and funder reports. This hybrid part-time role is expected to transition into a full-time position based on performance and organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Research prospective grant opportunities and funding sources.
Draft and edit tailored grant proposals and letters of inquiry.
Prepare accurate and timely reports for existing funders, incorporating data, outcomes, and impact stories.
Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines, renewals, and reporting schedules.
Collaborate with staff to gather information on programs, budgets, and patient stories.
Submit proposals and reports via online portals or mail and track submission status.
Qualifications
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in grant writing or related nonprofit development work.
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Experience working with data and financials to demonstrate program impact.
Excellent interpersonal skills; comfortable conducting interviews for stories and data.
Familiarity with healthcare and/or community-based nonprofit work is a plus.
Compensation
Part-Time (Hourly): $30–$40/hour based on experience.
Full-Time (Salary Range Upon Transition): $55,000–$65,000 annually with benefits.
Work Environment
Hybrid: Primarily remote with regular in-person meetings and occasional on-site research or collaboration.
