Steel Construction Project Manager (Telecommunications)

We are a leading construction firm specializing in steel structures for the telecommunications industry, delivering high-quality projects across the Midwest. We are seeking an experienced Steel Construction Project Manager to oversee telecommunication tower and infrastructure projects.
Position Summary
The Steel Construction Project Manager will manage steel construction projects for telecommunications infrastructure, including towers, monopoles, and related structures, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards. This high-travel position requires working on-site throughout the Midwest, with periodic opportunities to return home. Reporting to the Regional Project Manager, this role involves coordinating teams and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, manage, and execute steel construction projects for telecommunications infrastructure, including cell towers and equipment platforms.
Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, monitoring progress and resolving issues.
Coordinate with subcontractors, engineers, suppliers, and clients to meet project specifications and timelines.
Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., TIA-222), safety regulations, and client requirements.
Conduct site visits to oversee steel erection, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols.
Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
Provide updates to management and clients, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction. Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years of experience in steel construction project management within the telecommunications industry.
Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, erection, and telecom infrastructure (e.g., cell towers, monopoles).
Familiarity with TIA-222 standards and OSHA safety regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and Microsoft Office.
Ability to travel extensively throughout the Midwest and remain on-site for project durations.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required. Salary and Benefits
