What You Will Do

Ascension Medical Group Via Christi is looking for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiology team in Wichita, Kansas.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Via Christi to provide medical services to patients.

Position Highlights:

Great opportunity to work with an exceptional Interventional Cardiology Physician team!

Nocturnal APP coverage, so no call required.

Weekend daytime rotation, 1:5.

Cardiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

Obtains patient history and performs assessment. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic procedures.

Provides and documents direct treatment and management of health conditions.

Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.

Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.

What You Will Need

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.

Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

1 year of experience preferred.
