Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Metal Building Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project requirements and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and overhead.

Analyze blueprints and other project documents to determine project scope and requirements.

Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.

Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive rates.

Utilize "MBS" Metal Building Software to streamline the estimation process.

Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure adherence to budgets.

Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate effective communication.

Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information for accurate estimations.

Skills

Proficiency in construction estimating software, specifically MBS.

Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.

Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable contract terms.

Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and contracts effectively.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in pricing and estimating processes.

Effective project management skills, ensuring timely completion of estimates.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Familiarity with construction site operations and safety standards.

Requirements:

2+ years of hands-on experience with MBS (Metal Building Software)

10+ years of field experience in the metal building industry
