Director of Nursing (DON) Bonus

Valley View Manor is looking for a Director of Nursing to join our team! The DON will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and overall nursing operations of their healthcare facility

Responsibilities Include:

Supervising all nursing staff

Overseeing department budgets

Reporting to higher management in the healthcare facilities

Maintaining high standards of care for all patients

Managing patients' data and medical records as confidential records

Communicating with doctors, patients and family members about patient health

Recruiting, training and onboarding new nursing staff

Providing ongoing education classes

Supporting a strong sense of team among clinical staff and with all departments in the organization while supporting resident-centered care.

Implementing new procedures and training Nurses on policies

Qualifications Include:

Current RN license in State of Minnesota

Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a supervisory role in health care

Experience in a Long Term Care facility

Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures

Solid understanding of nursing home regulations.

Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex medical terminology and situations to residents and families.

Experience planning, organizing, developing, and evaluating programs, goals, and objectives necessary for providing quality care.

Willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.

Strong leadership skills with experience leading a diverse team.

Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people at all levels of an organization, residents, and family members.
