Scheduler

In this position, the Scheduler is responsible for scheduling appointments for patients with SVFCC physicians and outside facilities based on referrals.

Schedule - Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm * Schedules patient appointments in EMR * Manages workqueues and inboxes related to scheduling.

* Schedules internal and external referrals * Coordinates and schedules appointments for SVFCC physicians and outside facilities, based on referrals.

* Answers calls and retrieves voicemail related to patient scheduling.

* Manages patient reschedules based on physician availability * Sends reminders regarding future patient appointments.

Minimum Qualifications * High School Diploma or equivalent * Minimum of thee years experience in a front office position in a physician clinic setting * General applied knowledge of medical terminology, CPT4, ICDCM, HCPCS, Medicare, Medicaid and insurance guidelines.

* Strong knowledge of customer service skills * Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail * Ability to successfully function in a fast paced, service oriented environment * Experience in understanding and usage of computers as well as the ability to learn applications relevant to the position Physical Requirements: Sedentary-Primarily sitting/liftin 10 lbs maximum Location: St.
