What We Offer

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $106,577- $175,852. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $130,000 - $160,000. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

The City and County of Denver utilizes a hybrid model workplace that balances the responsibilities of public service with the benefits of a flexible work environment. Employees work where needed, at a city site and/or in the field at least two days a week, and telecommute remotely at a designated workplace within the State of Colorado the remaining days.

In this position you can expect to work on site at Denver International Airport CONA CntrCore Lvl 03 8700 Pena Blvd Denver, CO 80249 2 days per week.

What You’ll Do

Denver International Airport (DEN) is seeking an IIT Infrastructure Design Project Manager to join the DEN Business Technologies (BT) Enterprise Systems and Technologies Team. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our Enterprise Systems and Technologies group, where you'll help shape and support our IT operations, applications, and business teams. You'll work closely with various teams, taking the time to understand their unique needs and translating those into innovative solutions that make a real difference for our customers.

IT Enterprise Systems and Technologies Architect:

In this role you will have a front row seat with designing and building the next iteration of our Data Center Master Plan to which we will migrate workloads to a colocation and cloud. You will be a part of the core team that will be establishing the architecture that will support DEN for the next decade and beyond.

Coordinates the design and implementation of solutions and systems including applications, platforms, hardware, cloud services and integrations.

Works closely with customers and colleagues to identify opportunities and make recommendations to design and build prototypes of solutions to meet business requirements.

Researches and evaluates capabilities and gaps in a portfolio of systems.

Ensures a secure, well-maintained, highly available, and cost-effective IT infrastructure solutions.

Flexibility in working hours, including availability for nights and weekends as needed.

Proficiency with some or all: Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange, Multifactor Authentication (MFA), Proofpoint, Azure, AWS, Power Shell, Ansible automation platforms, terraform, and VMWare.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills for effective interaction with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

High level of dedication and commitment to the success of the team and organization.

Possesses sound judgment and decision-making abilities, especially in complex situations with both short-term and long-term considerations.

Experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks and methodologies (e.g., ITIL)

Proficient with designing and implementation of enterprise infrastructure on premises, cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).

Excellent professional attitude with strong interpersonal communications skills.

Broad background implementing enterprise infrastructure and systems.

Understands technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies including NSX, Azure, and AWS.

Understands common principles ITIL, IT service management, and security controls (NIST, SIEM, MDM, DLP).

Understands Architecture frameworks and practices (TOGAF, BABOK).

VxBlock, Cisco UCS, VMware.

Cloud Infrastructure Azure, AWS.

Teams, SharePoint, Power Apps, Power BI).

Microsoft 365 (Azure AD, Exchange, DNS).

ServiceNow (GRC, ITSM, ADM, CMDB).

Required Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field.

Experience Requirements: Three (3) years of professional information technology experience installing, maintaining, and/or modifying operating system and/or network operating system software and associated hardware. Two of these years must include experience in designing and implementing enterprise level systems and scalable solutions.

Education & Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. Additional appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements.

Licensure & Certification – None.
