Injection Molding Estimator

Job Description

Duties for this position include:

Develop proposals in response to inbound customer requests for quotation

Analyze drawings, CAD files, specifications, and other documentation to determine manufacturing time, and all costs including labor estimates, raw material prices, outside vendor costs, equipment, packaging, etc. as necessary to establish total costs for products, projects, or services

Timely quoting of tools, parts, services, packaging, assembly, and any other components or costs associated with a customer’s request for a quote

Review data to determine material, labor, and machinery requirements and involve the necessary departments and vendors to submit quotations on new and existing tooling and piece price projects

Set up preliminary program information in the MRP system

Manage RFQ and Quote Logs on in-process and processed quotations

Assist in the sales process, as required, with the external sales team and at internal customer meetings

Assist in updating existing part price quotations for customer pricing contracts and provide general technical assistance to the Sales personnel as required

Perform other duties and responsibilities as required

Compensation (USD):

$70,000 - $85,000/year depending on experience

Schedule:

Monday - Friday

Day Shift

8 hour day

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

Minimum 5 years quoting experience

Expert knowledge of the injection molding process and business

High-level understanding of GD&T and its impacts on manufacturing

Knowledge of material specifications and their performances

Ability to operate with and extract data from CAD platforms

Automotive industry experience is a plus

Interpretation of drawings and specification

Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong mathematical and analytical skills

Strong computer skills with ERP experience are a plus

Self-motivated individual with a strong attention to detail
