Job Summary:
The HR Director serves as a critical link between human resources and business leaders, to drive strategies that foster a positive, collaborative, and efficient workplace. This role entails close collaboration with leaders across manufacturing, maintenance, warehouse/logistics, and quality teams to implement effective workforce planning, optimize team member scheduling, and proactively address employee concerns. By championing fairness, efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals, the HR Director helps cultivate a harmonious and high-performing work environment managing for positive employee relations.
Key Responsibilities:
Build strong relationships with colleagues, operational business leaders and team members to deliver value-added HR services across the organization.
Advocate for improved retention, job enrichment and engagement of team members by ensuring a strong on-boarding process, training and leadership development.
Evaluate business challenges while developing and recommending solutions.
Consults with line and department management, providing HR guidance when appropriate
Investigates and resolves complex employee relations issues; Manages employee conflicts promptly, ensuring fairness and transparency in all resolutions.
Promote work-life balance through exploring the possibility of flexible schedules, wellness initiatives, and support systems.
Ensure company policies are clear, transparent, and consistently applied across the organization.
Works closely with all team members, including managers, to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
Develop and implement programs to improve communication channels between team members and departments
Recognize and reward employee contributions through structured recognition programs and informal acknowledgments.
Maintain an effective level of business literacy on current and long-range plans
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5-10 years HR experience and leadership experience in employee relations, human resources, or related fields
Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
Experience in developing engagement programs and resolving workplace conflicts
Familiarity with employee feedback mechanisms.
