Job Title: Die Setter

Position Summary

The die setter is responsible for the setup and change over of metal stamping dies to support production.

Position Responsibilities

Operates the overhead crane to move dies on and off bolsters.

Connects die to the crane by attaching the chains, hooks, and lifting rings properly.

Positions dies on bolster in accordance to T-Slot call outs

Ability to tighten all T-nuts to a safe torque

Connects all transfer end of arm tooling to transfer rails

Removes all slugs and scrap from bolster/ bolster tracks and diamond plate.

Maintains a clean die cart, work place and surrounding area.

Inspect crane chains, hooks, and lifting rings for any physical defects.

Minimum Requirements

Must have 2 years of metal stamping die setting experience

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, daily schedule, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Must have hi-lo and crane certifications
