THIS POSITION HAS A HYBRID SCHEDULE, AND THE CANDIDATE MUST LIVE CLOSE TO OUR STELLENBOSCH OFFICE IN SOUTH AFRICA TO BE CONSIDERED.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Data Analyst with strong analytical skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Excel, SQL, and Power BI to clean, reconcile, and analyze datasets. You will collaborate cross-functionally with various departments and work with both internal and external datasets to drive data-driven insights, support long-term modeling, and identify outliers for follow-up.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean, reconcile, and manage large datasets from multiple sources.

Perform in-depth data analysis to inform long-term forecasting and modeling.

Identify data trends, outliers and anomalies for further investigation.

Develop dashboards and visualizations in Power BI to communicate key insights.

Work cross-functionally with multiple departments to integrate datasets and deliver insights that support business decisions.

Collaborate and communicate with third parties to manage and reconcile data discrepancies.

Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests as needed.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related field along with a minimum of 2 years of related experience working with Excel and SQL -OR- High School equivalent along with a minimum of 4 years related experience working with Excel and SQL.

Strong data cleaning, manipulation, and reconciliation skills.

Experience with long-term modeling, forecasting, and identifying data anomalies.

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experience with large datasets and data integration.

Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to data quality issues.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to California.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Power BI.

Familiarity with agriculture data or the agriculture industry is a plus.

Experience with additional programming languages (Python, R, etc.) is a plus.
