Converting Supervisor

Job Description

Job Title: Converting Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Daily Functions:

Run the day to day operations of the converting machine in conjunction with the Plant Manager. This would include production, safety, quality and maintenance.

Responsible for training, planning, scheduling, assigning, and directing work, hiring, evaluating employee performance, employee accountability, promoting teamwork, resolving conflict and problem solving.

Responsible for maintenance and scheduling of PMs in conjunction with the maintenance department

Responsible for communicating openly with both Supervisors and hourly employees and other departments.

Oversee the inventory of parts and supplies to ensure a continuous operation. Oversee inventories of roll stock and corrugator supplies.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years in the corrugated industry specific to the converting department running triple wall, with the 5 years a minimum of 2 directly managing leaders (Supervisors).

Must have sheet feeder experience. Preference is on jumbos.
