Job Description
The Inventory Analyst conducts thorough analysis and reconciliation of all inventory and cycle count variances. This role develops processes and procedures to maintain inventory accuracy and integrity to prevent disruptions in supply chain and manufacturing operations. Ensures work aligns with established goals and strategies.
Position Responsibilities
May include:
Audit production reporting, cycle counts, and physical inventory to ensure accuracy.
Deliver documentation and explanations for out-of-tolerance inventory variances.
Utilize available tools to thoroughly research inventory discrepancies after executing adjustments.
Track the flow of materials through the supply chain from initial receipt to final shipment.
Maintain all inventory/part-related data in inventory management software.
Work cross-functionally with SCM, Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, and Accounting to manage accurate production reporting and inventory adjustments.
Develop new applications, tools, and ad-hoc refreshable reports to streamline processes and address business challenges.
Interface with Quality to understand inventory held in QIHOLD and QIRJCT.
Become proficient within specific warehouses (CYP, DMC, SWG).
Track departmental performance towards SOX compliance.
Work with Purchasing and Warehouses to resolve ASP and receiving issues.
Collaborate with Finance to oversee cycle count and inventory accuracy activities, maintaining acceptable accuracy and volume throughout the year, investigating and resolving errors, and identifying and fixing root causes.
Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.
Perform 4-wall and transaction activities for daily soft/hard tool counts.

Knowledge & Skills
Working knowledge of inventory control processes and best practices.
Effective verbal and written communication with business acumen.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Ability to generate reports, analyze data, and perform root-cause analysis.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting.
Good judgment, strong work ethics, and integrity.
Ability to learn systems and processes quickly and efficiently.
Working knowledge of Daikin warehouse and inventory systems (MAPICS, WMS, Infor) preferred.
Experience
1+ years of experience in inventory management preferred.
Education/Certification
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Some college in a related field preferred.
