Job Description
We're currently representing a provider of hospice and palliative care services that is seeking respiratory technicians.
As Respiratory Technician, you would support a general inpatient hospice unit that provides acute-level care for patients with complex and end-stage illnesses.
This position plays a critical role in managing respiratory equipment and supporting clinical teams to ensure patients receive comfort-centered care during advanced symptom management.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, test, and maintain respiratory equipment including oxygen concentrators, nebulizers, and suction machines.
Assist in managing patient respiratory needs in collaboration with nursing and clinical staff.
Monitor equipment usage and document activity in the patient's electronic medical record.
Respond promptly to patient care needs involving respiratory symptoms such as dyspnea, congestion, or secretion buildup.
Clean, disinfect, and ensure proper storage of respiratory equipment per protocol.
Educate caregivers and team members on safe equipment usage when appropriate.
Assist in bedside care during oxygen titration, weaning, or withdrawal protocols.
Follow infection control guidelines and hospice-specific care protocols. ( Policies and prociedures and SOPs)
