Red River Technology is actively seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team in supporting a mission-critical program for the Navy. As Network Engineer you will bring a deep technical proficiency implementing designs and maintaining data center network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will hold a CCNP certification, demonstrating advanced knowledge of routing, switching, and network troubleshooting.
Expertise in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) is essential, with a strong ability to configure and manage authentication policies, access control mechanisms, and security enforcement strategies. Additionally, the candidate must have a proven track record of developing and deploying network templates that streamline configuration processes, enhance scalability, and ensure consistency across complex environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement network architecture and maintain data center networks, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
Experience with ACI and IOS XE
Develop and optimize network templates for efficient deployment and management.
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco ISE for network access control and security enforcement.
Collaborate with software and infrastructure teams to integrate networking solutions seamlessly into agile workflows.
Analyze and resolve network performance issues, ensuring reliability across critical systems.
Implement security best practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and segmentation strategies.
Maintain compliance with industry standards, DOD regulations, and security policies.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including DoD representatives, to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
Develop and improve design products, processes, and systems for our team to work efficiently and effectively.
Provide technical expertise to Operations engineers and technicians, supporting fault isolation and resolution. Solve tough problems with innovative and scalable solutions.
Required Qualifications:
CCNP certification (or equivalent experience).
Active DoD Secret clearance.
Proven experience supporting DoD Programs related to data centers and networking.
Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco ISE and network access control solutions.
Deep understanding of data center infrastructure systems, networking protocols, and architectures.
Experience creating network templates to streamline deployments.
Ability to work in agile development environments alongside cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently without supervision.
Cisco: Experience with routing and switching, and a strong understanding of software-defined networking (SDN).
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate network concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
CCNP Security certification (or equivalent experience).
Familiarity with cloud-based networking and hybrid infrastructures.
VMware: Ability to implement vSphere hypervisor environments and integrate VMware and shared storage network environments.
Knowledge of automation tools (i.e., Ansible) for network configuration and management.
Experience with Zero Trust security principles.
