Title: C Shift Flexographic Press Operator

Location: Ft. Worth, TX

Reports to: Shift Supervisor

Hours: Wednesday-Friday 5am-5pm

Position Summary:

The Flexographic Press Operator is responsible for keeping the press up and running. Be a backup press operator, rewinder and shrink wrap. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but is not limited to:

Perform make-ready functions

Follow information from job tickets and prepare press accordingly

Enter all activities into computer for job tracking and cost accounting

Mount plates

Pull dies, inks, and cylinders for all jobs on the press schedule over the next 24 hours.

Mix ink and make corrections to meet customer specs.

Perform press wash-up and clean-up procedures

Perform press maintenance

Have full knowledge of all phases of label production.

Press capabilities

Finishing capabilities

Maintain a clean and organized production floor that is safe for all employees.

Be available to work with customers when necessary.

Assist the management staff on special projects.

Any other responsibilities requested by the production management staff

Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:

Must have:

A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a pressman is required

Preferred knowledge of four-color process work

Extreme attention to detail

Ability to understand and follow directions as given.

Capable of working independently and collaboratively with a team

Ability to lift 50lb

Ability to use hand pallet jack

Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of employees within the organization.
