POSITION SUMMARY
- Responsible for providing leadership and establishing and implementing quality management strategy to go along with overall business plans and objectives.
ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Establish and manage the ISO/TS 16949 compliant procedures for the Quality Management System.
- Manage the quality department.
- Act as company quality representative when interacting with suppliers and customers.
- Work with the product team to establish proper quality methods.
- Act as the primary contact for internal and external quality communications.
- Lead problem solving efforts and manage the corrective action process.
- Define and track Customer Satisfaction Metrics.
- Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) including processes, controls and work instructions.
- Support Continuous Improvement throughout the plant including training, documentation and quality control.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

- Ability to interpret and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate with supervisor and coworkers.
- Good understanding of shop math including fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or similar required
- 5 to 15 years of experience in a quality function in automotive Tier 1 and/or Tier 2
- TS 16949 certification experience a must
- Working knowledge of; 8D, Six Sigma, Red X, MMOG
- Customer and Supplier interface to resolve quality issues
