Job Title: Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller – Controller Track

Location: East of Athens, GA (100% On-site)

Compensation: $100K–$115K base + bonus potential (Total Comp: $110K–$135K)

Are you an experienced Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller ready to step into a Plant Controller role? Our client, a growing manufacturing company just east of Athens, GA, is looking for a sharp, hands-on financial professional to join their team and grow into site leadership.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions: AP/AR, inventory control, journal entries

• Support and eventually lead the month-end close process

• Assist in developing and analyzing plant budgets, forecasts, and variances

• Prepare and review account reconciliations (prepaids, accruals, etc.)

• Produce daily profitability reports and help justify capital expenditures

• Coordinate audit activities and maintain GAAP compliance

• Work closely with plant leadership and supply chain on operational goals

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience

• Strong preference for manufacturing environment exposure

• Knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles

• Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, etc.)

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Eager to grow into a full Controller role
