Extrusion Saw Operator

Job Description

Pries is looking for an Extrusion Saw Operator to add to our team! No previous experience needed!

This position can be an 2pm-10pm 8 hour M-F with Saturday depending on production or a 6am-6pm, 6pm-6am on a 2, 2, 3 schedule.

*High attention to detail required!

Duties include:

Verify order length of metal in Epics, confirm die profile to work order

Verify cut tolerance

Inspect material for defects, and burr after cut. Scrap metal found to be defective

Position guides according to specifications of cut

Check saw stop, blade and blade lubrication, of the material, chip collector and chip barrel.

Instruct saw help in keeping up with production and upholding quality standards, Team of 1 or 2

Ensure the stacking equipment is aligning material properly in the rack per balance standards

Create rack setups that ensure protection and prevent damage of metal

Accurately tag each rack with sales order number, die number, pieces, length, finish and temper

Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Safety Department

Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
