Description:

* Support the enterprise's mission, vision, values and goals in performance of daily activities.

* Responsible for performance feedback and leadership of all direct reports including mentoring, coaching, counseling and corrective action when situations dictate.

* Coordinate and assist in new colleague orientation.

* Coordinate line activities with the production team.

* Provide leadership and promote positive morale and assure a total team concept.

* Communicate and prioritize daily work assignments to the team.

* Develop and manage die PM schedules for long term and mini PM's * Supports die change operation and assist in new job set-up.

* Communicate line issues with the appropriate staff members.

* Responsible for overall department coordination and communication.

* Assist, as required, plant activities to achieve quality, productivity and cost reduction goals.

* Provide the proactive leadership necessary to achieve and maintain a continuous improvement mindset for the work team.

* Work with the work team to assure timely and efficient repair of dies in order to achieve maximum throughput.

* Champion assigned engineering changes, communicate and coordinate accordingly to all departments.

* Participate in root cause analysis and team problem solving activities (ex.

8D reports, department meetings, etc.). * Responsible for reporting all accidents or injuries, however minor and all workplace hazards to the department leader immediately.

* Assign clear responsibilities for Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and hold all direct reports accountable for enforcement.

* Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures in performing daily work activities.

* Assure all safety devices are properly in place and utilized and verify individual usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) by the work team.

* Responsible for assuring that the entire team has the necessary tools and materials to properly perform their job safely and efficiently.

* Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.

* Maintain high level of housekeeping in the work area.

* Adherence to all company policies and procedures.

Required Skills * Associates Degree in Applied Science in Manufacturing, Engineering or Industrial Technology preferred.

* Minimum three to five years experience working with class "A, B & C" dies.

* Knowledge of stamping processes and procedures.

* Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.

* Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast pace environment.

* Ability to mentor and teach the team effective problem solving methods.

* Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills.

* Ability to follow written instructions.

* Excellent project management skills.

* Ability to read die design prints and drawings.

* Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

* Proven work record.

* Computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

* Ability to read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations.
