FIC America Corp. is a global Tier 1 automotive components manufacturer centrally located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. We are actively seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern for the summer.
Essential Job Functions
Lead the development and implementation of standard documentation to the new ERP system
Assist in conducting time studies of existing assembly lines
Assist with accessing layout condition for optimization
Assist senior engineers with ongoing projects and investigations
Support quality and efficiency improvements for manufacturing processes
Perform other duties assigned

Comply with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 procedures and standards
Perform 5-S activitiesRequirements:
Must be able to work the summer intern position, in-person
Currently pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar field
Must be a rising Junior or Senior, with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
Understanding of manufacturing process flow
Basic welding knowledge: Arc, spot, resistance
Basic robot teaching/programming preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and in team settings
Must be willing to cross-train
Must comply with FIC’s Attendance and Punctuality Policy
Pay Range $22/hour - $25/hour, based on qualifications and experience
