Journey Bank, a strong, independent community bank headquartered in Bloomsburg PA, seeks a Full-time Credit Analyst at our South Williamsport, PA office.

The Credit Analyst is Responsible for performing various duties to support the credit analysis function; coordinating work within the division, as well as with other divisions/departments; complying with operating policies and procedures established for the credit analysis function; communicating with appropriate personnel; responding to inquiries or requests for information; maintaining appropriate records and providing assigned reports.

Requirements:

A B.S. or B.A. degree in Business or a related field of study normally required; specialized financial analysis training.

Minimum of 2 years' experience in banking or a related position is required

Ability to use computer with Windows and Web-based software applications including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Advanced reading, writing, and grammar skills

Proficient typing, math and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities: include, but are not limited to:

1. Performs various duties to support the credit analysis function of which the following are illustrative:

a. Receives data on prospective and active borrowing accounts, i.e., orders appraisals, financial statements, agency reports, and interview and investigation sheets.

b. Inputs financial statements and/or tax returns into spreading software for preliminary analysis.

c. Analyzes data and evaluates the short- and long-run prospects of the individual or company.

d. Performs cash flow analysis on the borrower; provides feedback and spreadsheets to loan officer for review.

e. Make recommendations to loan officers on the granting or denying of loans; prepares sufficient information to document recommendations, if assigned to a lending function.

f. Suggests loan grade after conducting a thorough credit analysis and documentation review.

g. Provides thorough documentation of all financial analysis work, including ratios and other related information.

h. Ensures that all credit analysis activities are conducted in accordance with prescribed lending policy.

i. Accompanies loan officer on customer sales calls, as required.

j. Performs annual reviews on existing customers; provides risk grade based on borrower's financial performance and cash flow.

2. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.

3. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the division as well as with other divisions/departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.

4. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.

5. Communicates with management and staff personnel in order to integrate goals and activities.

6. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from other Bank personnel, customers, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.

7. Maintains appropriate records and provides assigned reports.
