NSC Auto Truck & Equipment is expanding! We're looking for an experienced and driven CAT Diesel Engine Mechanic with specialized knowledge of the CAT 3406E platform to join our elite team. Our shop is known for top-tier truck repairs, engine rebuilds, and diagnostics, and we take pride in offering premium services to our commercial fleet customers.Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain CAT 3406E diesel engines
Perform full engine overhauls, in-frame and out-of-frame rebuilds
Troubleshoot and repair fuel systems, turbos, injectors, EUI systems, ECMs, etc.
Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections
Use diagnostic software and scan tools to evaluate engine performance
Document all repairs and communicate findings with the team and customers
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Stay current with CAT systems and diesel engine technology
Preferred but Not Required:
Diesel technician certification or formal CAT training
CDL (Class A or B)
Welding or fabrication experience

3+ years of hands-on experience with CAT diesel engines – strong preference for experience with CAT 3406E
Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills
Familiarity with CAT ET and other diagnostic software
Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical documents
Must own or be working toward owning a full set of mechanic’s tools
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
