Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the Fiscal Officer, provides fiscal and payroll support for the Department of Integrated Systems Engineering (ISE) while ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures; serves as initial point of contact for procurement and travel activities, personnel funding updates, interpretation of policies and procedures, and other fiscal-related issues; acts as department initiator for fiscal and payroll activities to include, but not limited to, procurement activities, travel requests and reimbursements, personnel funding updates, journal entries, ensuring processing of transactions is timely, accurate and in compliance; collects and confirms all procurement and travel documentation, receipts, etc. conforms to University guidelines and policies; as directed by the College of Engineering internal control structure, ensures segregation of duties in the processing of every transaction, appropriate mandatory approvals and reconciliation; verifies receipt of purchased items; manages and tracks department procurement cards; prepares checks for deposit; assists with financial monitoring and reconciliation; maintains fiscal transaction records, databases and files according to established audit standards and retention policies; manages building key distribution and collection; manages and assigns desk space to temporary employees; assists ISE Chair and Promotion and Tenure Committee with the submission of faculty promotion and tenure cases; collects, assembles, files, and submits required documentation of faculty dossiers; coordinates and facilitates space renovations; assists with asset management; provides back-up assistance to other administrative staff; participates in special projects and completes other duties as assigned; QualificationsRequired: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Desired: Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality; effective interpersonal communication, problem-solving and organizational skills; ability to work independently and as a member of a team; excellent customer service experience; experience with University financial system, eReports, eTravel and/or eRequest; knowledge of university policies and procedures; experience in Workday; experience in MS Office Suite.

Additional Information:

Payrate: $18.17-23.90/hr.

The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
