Logistics Coordinator, International

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinating transportation providers, Freight forwarders, Import Brokers, etc to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments

Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels

Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy

Making special shipping arrangements as necessary

Tracking and fixing shipping errors

Reviewing and processing invoices

Compile and manage quarterly pricing for international shipping lanes

Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards

Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized

Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements

Comply with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements

Requirements:

Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication

Excellent customer service and client relations skills

Keep organization and time management skills

Good collaboration and teamwork abilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to use computers, software and other technology for inventory and communication purposes

Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree

2 to 5 years Logistics experience (preferably International or in a process chemical environment)

Experience with Supplier Management and Service Level Agreements

Strong Excel and analysis skills

SAP System experience preferred
