This opportunity is based in our Lexington, KY office but offers flexibility to work from home part of the work week.
JOB SUMMARY
The Web Designer will play a key role in advancing the organization's web design, development, and event management initiatives. This position requires proficiency in WordPress and a strong eye for design. The ideal candidate will enhance the organization's digital presence by creating and maintaining high-quality web assets while ensuring seamless functionality and user experience for event management solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, build and maintain visually compelling, user-centered websites using WordPress and Elementor.
Optimize websites for mobile responsiveness, accessibility standards and an outstanding user experience across all devices.
Proactively test, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure optimal site performance and reliability.
Manage event-related digital solutions, including event registration systems, reporting dashboards, and microsite development within Cvent and other platforms.
Create innovative, branded event microsites that enhance audience engagement and showcase organizational initiatives.
Ensure seamless data integration across platforms and lead troubleshooting of integration challenges.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to translate business goals into effective, engaging web and event solutions.
Stay ahead of evolving web design trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve the organization's digital capabilities and aesthetics.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong proficiency in WordPress and Elementor.
Working knowledge of PHP, JavaScript and related web development technologies preferred.
Experience with Cvent platform management and troubleshooting preferred.
Ability to deliver visually compelling, responsive and user-friendly designs.
Collaborative mindset with effective communication skills.
Willingness and ability to travel to meetings and regional events to capture and cover content.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
Strong interpersonal skills including self-awareness, sensitivity and valuing others.
Dedication to public service with an unfailing commitment to act with civility, be nonpartisan in performing CSG duties, and be a responsible steward of project funds.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and work experience).
3-5 years of relevant experience in web design and development, including hands-on Cvent platform use.
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position, based in Lexington, KY is $65,000 to $70,000. This salary range is subject to change based on work location and market conditions.
