What does a successful DevOps Engineer do at Fiserv?

The DevOps Engineer is a vital member of the Contact Service Team (CST), which is part of the Corporate Systems area. The CST team supports contact center operations, focusing on enhancing client relationships through excellent service delivery. In this role, you will provide application and platform support, manage DevOps pipelines, drive efficiency through automation, ensure compliance with security governance, and proactively monitor applications to enhance their resiliency and stability.

What you will do:

Support, update, and validate Kubernetes clusters to ensure optimal performance.

Manage various microservices platforms and ensure they meet performance standards.

Automate and maintain software delivery workflows using CI/CD pipelines.

Administer applications across multiple operating systems and hardware types, including Windows and Linux server products.

Support and troubleshoot multiple relational database systems, storage technologies, and network interfaces.

Create and maintain fields, reports, dashboards, custom objects, workflows, functions, and configurations.

Facilitate IT Service Management processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Asset, Configuration, and Continuous Improvements, while ensuring compliance with change management policies.

What you will need to have:

3+ years of application and operations experience with a full application stack.

2+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.

2+ years of experience with container technologies such as Docker, OpenShift, or Kubernetes.

2+ years of experience with Python or shell scripting (bash).

2+ years of experience with Windows and Linux Administration (CentOS), Python, and configuration management tools like Puppet or Chef.

2+ years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Harness, Nexus, and Terraform.

2+ years of experience with artificial intelligence-related applications and products (Watson).

Current Fiserv systems experience.

What would be great to have:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or equivalent military experience.

Experience in the financial services industry.
