About the Role:
Miami Homes For All (MHFA) is seeking a contract Web Developer or Development Team to create a public-facing, layperson-friendly website that helps landowners and emerging developers explore opportunities to create affordable housing on underutilized land.
This platform is part of MHFA’s 3C Initiative – Connecting Community to Capital, which empowers local nonprofits, faith-based groups, and individuals to engage in community-driven housing development.
The developer will work in close collaboration with MHFA’s 3C initiative and policy teams, who bring deep insight into user needs, community context, and content direction. Your role will be to bring technical and UX expertise to translate these ideas into a functional, responsive, and accessible website.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the 3C and policy teams to design a user-centered site
Translate housing development toolkits and workflows into an intuitive digital experience
Design and develop:
Interactive assessments and readiness tools
Step-by-step development guides and checklists
Downloadable templates and FAQ resources
Optional: lightweight video or animation integration
Build using a CMS that enables MHFA to update content independently
Ensure ADA compliance, cross-browser compatibility, and responsive design
Conduct user testing and implement feedback iteratively
Deliverables:
Sitemap and wireframes
Design mockups
Fully developed website with interactive features
CMS with admin dashboard
Testing and basic training documentation
Qualifications:
Proven experience designing and developing websites for non-technical audiences
Strong User Experience (UX)/User Interface (UI) design skills, with portfolio examples
Experience working with nonprofits, housing, or public-sector clients a plus
Familiarity with accessible design and compliance standards (ADA, WCAG)
Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to co-create with a non-technical team
Experience with Webflow, WordPress, or other CMS tools preferred
Timeline:
Project must be completed and launched by August 30, 2025. Work will begin immediately upon selection.
