Asst. General Manager – Import Customer Service

General Functions and Key Activities

Overall responsibility for NAOC Import Customer Service. Establish and implement policy and procedures that will benefit the operations of the department, improve efficiency and reduce costs. Handle customer complaint and provide resolutions. Monitor department performance and develop solutions to resolve problem areas. Review undelivered and overdue reports. Contact consignee/trucker for overdue issues and work with ECD where applicable to resolve. Handle abandoned cargo issues and resolve. Provide daily and monthly reporting as required by management. Ensure customs rules and regulations are followed and manage fine mitigation if received. Mitigate customs penalties for rail shipments. Work with accounting to make sure accounts are kept current. Follow procedures set forth in creating and handling IJOS issued. Handle department personnel including but not limited to, new hires, staff training, time clock and overtime management. Create 3PI for DEM checks received from terminals.

Position Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree

Over 5 years’ experience

Extensive knowledge of imports and the regulations that govern such. Various computer systems and software knowledge including but not limited to MS Office products, customer service, phone, email and organizational skills.
