Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to operate and maintain manual lathes and milling machines. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with various metals and capable of performing precision machine tasks with minimal supervision. This role requires strong problem–solving skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards. Shift hours are 5:45am to 3:45pm. Optional OT on Saturdays 6-10am.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform precise measurements for cutting or shaping, and machining components.

• Plan and execute machining sequences to ensure full functionality and safety.

• Troubleshoot issues and develop innovative solutions while adhering to industry standards.

• Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and workstations to uphold safety and efficiency

• Work independently or as part of a team to complete complex projects on time.

• Apply physical strength and endurance to handle machining tasks effectively. (Lift up to 50 pounds)

Job Skills and Qualifications Required:

• Proficiency in basic machining techniques

• Ability to read and interpret product data sheet, specs sheets, and other technical documents

• Familiarity with milling machines, lathes and workshop safety protocols Preferred:
