Construction Laborer

Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in various construction tasks including site preparation, material handling, and equipment operation. This role requires physical stamina, attention to safety, and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, masons, and electricians.

Load and unload construction materials and move them to work areas.

Set up and take down ladders, scaffolding, and other temporary structures.

Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and hazardous materials.

Operate hand and power tools as needed.

Follow safety procedures and wear protective gear.

Assist with digging trenches, backfilling holes, or compacting earth.

Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.

Measure, mark, and cut materials according to specifications.

Perform other duties as assigned by the site supervisor or foreman.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Previous construction or manual labor experience is a plus.

Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) and work in physically demanding conditions.

Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.

Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.

Valid driver’s license (preferred).

Working Conditions:

Full-time position; may require overtime or weekends.

Work is performed outdoors and may involve exposure to dust, noise, and hazardous materials.

May require travel to different job sites.
