Maintenance Supervisor

Marion, Indiana

Contract to Hire

MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SAFETY

• Compliance with all Company’s Safety Policies/ Procedures in Compliance with OSHA

• Establish and Maintain a Safety-First Culture by Promoting and Driving Safe Work and Best Practices

• Assist Safety Manager in Ensuring that All Employees are Complying with the Safety Rules and Regulations

• Responsible for all Safety Contract Management compliance

• Perform 1 safety Observation Tour daily, safety observations monthly and Layered Process audit monthly

• Ensure all incident reporting is processed in timely matter and all countermeasures are followed through

• Communicates unsafe work conditions

• Ensure completion of PTP and worker safety engagements

• Ensure completion of daily safety huddles, Safety Moments, Safety Standdowns and GCTA

• Ensure weekly and monthly(electrical) PPE inspections are completed and documented

• Ensure daily vehicle inspections are completed by employees

PEOPLE

• Demonstrates Role Model Behavior for Safety, Integrity and Ethical Standards Consistent with Standards • Introduces and supports new team members

• Creates and trains team members on standardized work and procedures

• Maintains personal job flexibility charts

• Communicates well with other shift supervisors and end of shift reports

• Maximize Productivity, Motivate Employees and Promote a Collaborative Teamwork Environment

• Responsible that all time keeping is updated daily

• Employee disciplinary action are completed in timely matter per CBA

• Must understand all job duties within the team’s scope of work

QUALITY

• Ensures follow-up on countermeasures with (Maintenance Lead and Maintenance Manager)

• Supports containment process with items that are quality issues

• Performs layered audits properly to identify out-of- standard conditions

• Ensure Delivery of Committed Services and Overall Customer Satisfaction

• Utilize Data to Develop Trends and Insights that will Drive Continuous Improvement in the Site Performance

• Inspect Buildings’ Physical Plant Routinely to ensure that Maintenance Services are at the Highest Level of Quality Standard

RESPONSIVENESS

• Assist in managing the site to Achieve KPI and Performance Indicators

• Assist in Coordinating Staffing to Meet Schedules and Customer Requirements

• Communicate all Necessary information with Supervisors.

• Understands and utilizes escalation process

• Initiates formal problem solving as required

GM MARION MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

• Participates in Throughput Improvement Process (TIP) activity

• Ensure Level 4 and 5 BPD Boards are updated, and countermeasures are completed in a timely matter

• Ensure full site use of Maximo for all corrective work tickets and preventative maintenance

• Ensure all projects assigned are planned and implemented in a timely matter with proper follow ups as needed

• Assist in directing other facility owned departments when required, including Fleet Maintenance, Janitorial and Rack repair

COST

• Assists team in Continuous Improvement Activities (elimination of waste) (C.C.I.P).

• Works on reducing cost from a team level.

• Assist Site manager with Maintaining Operating Budget for the Site

• Meet Facility Specific Cost Saving Targets

ENVIRONMENT

• Monitor Facility Costs and Expenses, Including Tracking Material, Labor and Controllable Utility Costs and Working with Subordinates to Manage and Eliminate Waste

• Always implements Environmentally Preferred Practices

• Ensure site meets full compliance to ISO 14001 standards

QUALIFICATIONS

• 4 Year bachelor’s degree in business administration or Related Field Preferred

• Minimum 5-8 years of working within Facility Maintenance background required

• Minimum 3-5 years of Facility Maintenance supervision preferred

• Exceptional Relationship Management Skills

• Experience working in a Union environment

• Safety and Quality Conscience

• Strong Organizational and Prioritizing Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Maintains a good attendance record

• No discipline within the last six (6) months

• Engages and encourages team members, Team Leaders, Supervisors, and company.

• Any action deemed to be in contradiction to the Requirements above at any time, may be de-qualified if determined appropriate by Upper Management
