Payroll Clerk
Salary Range: $50,000-$6,0000k
Location: Grand Street, Lower East Side, NYC
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The role of a Payroll Clerk is to maintain accurate ongoing vendor payroll entries and reconciliation. They are also responsible for reconciling vendor payment reports and other reports as necessary.
Breaking down and distributing payroll items in Excel with proper allocation.
Reconciling incoming payments.
Corporate Credit Card reconciliation.
Rate adjustments.
Track all incoming payments.
Issue payments to vendors.
Filing and scanning as necessary.
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Power Excel User, including ability to manipulate data.
High school diploma or GED required. Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Excellent time management skills.
Attention to detail, strong ability to focus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate.
Computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook)
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
At least 1 year of prior bookkeeping or payroll experience is a must. Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Ability to lift at least 35lbs.
