Works with the VP of Philanthropy and Foundation Team to execute the Foundation’s fundraising plan, including relationship building, annual, major gifts, planned giving, monthly giving, grants and events. Maintains a portfolio of individual and business donors who may respond to personal solicitation throughout the year. Responsible for working with volunteer committees to plan, coordinate and execute special events. Serve as consultant and advisor to other third-party entities conducting events to benefit the organization. Identifies stories throughout the agency to raise awareness of the organization’s mission and demonstrate impact to donors.
REPORTS TO: VP of Philanthropy
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree – preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES REQUIRED: CFRE designation preferred but not required.
EXPERIENCE/SPECIFIC SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Three to five years of broad-based experience in non-profit fundraising or relevant experience. Special events experience required. Major and Planned Giving experience a plus.

Attendance is a condition of employment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess an unrestricted, State of Florida issued, driver’s license, reliable transportation and automobile insurance. Must have the ability to lift, push, pull twenty-five (25) pounds without difficulty; able to work extended hours as required under various work environments and work under varying levels of stress.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain a portfolio of 125-150 volunteers, prospects and donors
Manage an annual fund program, encompassing writing appeal letters and overseeing mailing list management for the appeals
Manage the activities of annual giving donor clubs and specific giving levels throughout the year, including special goals for increasing membership
Develop and grow a major gifts program
Develop and execute successful events: benefit events, as well as those relating to annual donor cultivation, recognition and stewardship of annual gifts
Ensure that the organization’s Stewardship Plan is followed
Source stories for social media, newsletter and appeals
Work closely with the VP of Philanthropy on Operating and Foundation Board activities
Success will be measured on contacts with donors, face-to-face donor meetings, events held, number of attendees, gifts secured and growth of database
Maintain a high level of urgency, customer consciousness and service excellence
Exhibits knowledge of organizational policies, and state and federal laws and regulations consistent with duties and responsibilities. Demonstrates high ethical standards and compliance with organizational standards
Fulfill all responsibilities related to the success of the strategic plan of the organization, as requested and assigned
